Why didn't Superman's clothes burn up when he re-enters the atmosphere from being in space?

In the latest Superman movie, Superman was looking at earth from space and then re-entered the atmosphere but nothing happened to his clothes. What's up with that?|||Because they didn't want to get an "R" rating...

Seriously - in the old comic books (Golden Age), the explanation would have been that his Superman suit was made of Kryptonian fabric that was indestructible.

However, in the newer comic books (after the 1983 reboot) the explanation is that since Superman is super-powered by Earth's yellow sun, it creates a sort of invulnerability field around him, which extends to his clothing.|||His clothes must be super too!!??|||They're made of a special polymer blend that includes the use of carbon fiber and has heat resistant properties of ceramic similar to the tiles on the space shuttle.

Oh also IT'S A FREAKING MOVIE.|||From old comics they show that his clothes were made from material he was wrapped in when he was sent to earth. So his suit is as strong as he is which is also why it never tears when cut or gets holes when shot or burns..|||I have no idea|||The reason things burn up on re-entry is because of their speed. When a shuttle re-enters, for example, it's moving at orbital velocity, and the friction produces heat. But Superman can fly about by some magical power, so presumably, he could re-enter without moving at orbital velocity.|||His clothes were designed for that. Also, if we are to assume that the cells of his body are denser due to his solar system's red sun, would it also be logical to assume that the fibers that make up his costume (which was also a product of Krypton) would also be denser, and thus would survive extreme heat, such as re-entry into the planet?|||Superman is a science fiction creation that is short on perfection--and unlike God made Jesus.

Didn't the fabric for Superman's clothing arrive with him when he was a baby--as a blanket in his capsule? So, maybe it was designed to resist the extreme heat as his capsule carried him to earth.

Oh, yes... Whatever happened to "Liberty, Justice, and the American way"?|||its because one of supermans power is Invulnerability which is a protective field that stops him getting hurt eg bullets bounce of him the field exstends a few meters past his skin so what ever hes waring is indestructible. unless hes fighting another comic hero or villan with simlar strength they are strong engough to bypass this thats why wen supes fights someone like darkseid maratin manhunter or black adam they acully hurt him.
