I mean am I missing something? Superman doesn't wear any mask so how do people not know his identity.I mean are people in Comic Books so dumb that they get fooled just because he wears glasses when he is in regular cloths|||You know thats a good question that I have never been able to quite figure out.People have accused Bruce Wayne of being Batman plenty of times even though he wears a mask. But Superman only does his hair a little different and wears glasses and people still cant tell.I just doesn't make any sense
@Destroyer of Dumbasses: If I remember correctly only a handful of people know Superman`s identity so NO the world doesn't know that its Clark Kent|||It's mostly simple psychology, Superman is a larger than life figure, his traits get exaggerated in the minds eye.
At the same time, Clark exaggerates certain traits himself, he makes himself a bit of a bumbler, he's clearly either near sighted or far sighted, his clothes are just a little big for him making his physique seem like less than it is, and he slouches a little to make himself seem shorter, he also has a different hair style.
In short, he has created two such different personas that the two of them clash in people's minds. It's something they can't get through their heads.
Now people like Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor, those are just bad, all three of them, have regular contact with both identities, these three should see the similarities, the majority of the people, only ever have contact with superman and would never think to look at the slightly klutzy reporter.|||Lex Luther was told Superman was Clark Kent, and he wouldn't believe it. He could not comprehend why someone with god-like powers would interact with people "below" his self.
Now, Lois Lane is supposedly a Pulitzer prize journalist. How she missed it I don't know! Maybe love is blind.
Superman would slouch, put on glasses, and comb his hair slightly different. Ta-da.... Clark Kent. I guess people do not see what is in front of them when he hides in plain sight.|||Super Hypnotism. Seriously.|||I seem to remember that Clark Kent is actually a fair bit shorter than Superman - something about him using his super-powers to compress his spine while disguised.|||Love is blind.
Perhaps they loved Superman so much, they were willing to not see that he was Clark Kent.
(This explanation was offered or paraphrased from an episode of the television series Lois %26amp; Clark.)|||It's the power of hair gel and glasses 8)
Epic awesomeness!|||They all know Clark is Superman. But they just never let on they know cuz they know he's bigger and stronger than them.|||Because the writers choose not to make the people aware.|||i don't know how they don't see Through the glasses.
but i guess they just couldn't think of another disguise|||They just pretend they don't know. It's just part of the story.
